Work Experience

As owner of Kayla's Piano Studio (2010-present), I teach weekly piano lessons and manage all finances for the studio.

 

As a volunteer for the Draper Arts Council, I run the concession stand for events at the Draper Amphitheater and other local venues on an as needed basis.  I organize the concessions and manage the money.

 

As the Administrative Assistant to the Board and Council Member of Draper Youth Council (2009- present), I have organized many community events.  My duties have included organizing events on a budget, organizing volunteers for various events and attending training seminars to sharpen my business skills.

 

As Dave Swapp's Financial Planing Asisstant, I prepare client portfolios, update month end balances, update asset allocations and communicate with the clients. 

 

Community Service

 

Draper Youth Council--I organized the tree lighting ceremony for Christmas in the Heart of Draper.  I have organized volunteers for many community events including Draper Days and the Easter Egg Hunt.

 

Volunteer Scorekeeper for Summit Academy Junior High School 2009.  I was heralded as the coaches' favorite and most accurate scorekeeper.

 

As a member of the National Junior Honor Society and later, National Honor Society, I have partcipated in many service projects including tutoring struggling math students, "Pennies for Patients," teacher appreciation gifts, and a clothing drive.

 

I have served with the Draper Arts Council by organizing microphones and switching microphones from actor to actor during dress rehearsals and performances.  I have also volunteered countless hours running the concession stand and ticket sales.

 

I have partcipated in many humanitarian and service projects with my church and have served in the presidency in many capacities helping to organize and plan these activities.

 

I volunteered for Dan Amit with his Porter's half marathon and 10 K.

Interests/Activities

 

Regional Math Competition at UVU (2009)--competed by invitation from my math teacher.

 

Future Business Leaders of America (2010-present)-actively partcipated by attending meetings and competitions, including regional and state competitions.

Mrs. Draper (2012) I competed with the platform of Safty Around Trains.  I raised money for the Children's Miracle Network. When I campaign again this year, I plan to center my platform around Celiac Disease Awareness.
